FEI was one of the first colleges in the country to have a baja team to participate in national and international competitions held annually by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).
Considered one of the most traditional in Brazil, the team has already won nine national and four world championships, becoming the South American team with the most world titles.
Currently the team is composed of students from Mechanical, Production, Electrical, Automation and Control and Robots Engineering.
The Baja competitions were created by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in 1976 and introduced in our country in 1995 by SAE Brasil, affiliated to SAE International.
